In my free time I enjoy hacking on open-source projects, particularly server software written in C for UNIX. Patches of mine have been accepted into these projects:

• MediaWiki (custom XHTML namespaces)
• Memcached (counter wraparound, 64-bit counters)
• Nginx - many minor bug fixes
• RRDtool (phase shift bug/patch, multiplicative Holt-Winters patch, in-memory graphing)

I know quite a bit about the internals of these programs, and I'm happy to share my expertise. If you have a small-ish programming project (say under 1000 lines of code) that you might like me to undertake, please let me know. I love adding features and writing modules for large programs, especially Nginx, the up and coming web server.

• I can only give your project a few hours each week;
• I will retain the copyright on the resulting work;
• I will put the work under an open-source license;
• The project must sound like it's fun to work on, where "fun" is defined by me!
